Utilities were included in the pre-paid dormitory charges. University fees were also pre-paid. I paid for everything else though, food, laundry, transportation, entertainment (zero), school texts, etc... It was tight. I was at 40,000 per month for 6 months while I was in the intensive language program. All we ever did was go to class. But I later picked up an extra part-time job which bumped me all the way up to 60,000 per month for the last 6 months. Even then it was still tight but I was young and foolish (1991-1992) and didn't know any better.
In my case, the pre-paid housing made it possible. Without that, as everyone has already said, there is no way I could have managed. Good luck, Shannon. |
