As to the "D" visa you merely need to be married to a Chinese National and live with her for one year in China. Then you provide a police clearance from your home town, pay the required fee, and you get a "D" visa. (They must know how impossible that can be!)

This is absolutely wrong ... false .. mentira.

By being married to a Chinese national, the foreign spouse gets ...
crapola ... nada ... nothing ... for ever and ever ... forget it.

The only exception is when the "foreign" spouse also
happens to be ethnic Chinese as in Hong Konger, Taiwanese, blah ...
blah ... blah (like MW??). Only ethnic Chinese qualify for the "D" visa (i.e. permanent residency).

Do not know what you are smoking but you are definately giving out false and misleading information.

Of course, anyone can go to the Immigration Department and verify this for themselves, they do not need to believe either one of us.

But as between us, I would never believe the master of deception and untruths who belives his main job is to bring about the downfall of Dave's ESL like you bragged on another forum.

There is no immigration department in China. Only the Public Security Bureau handles these matters.

All it takes is someone to call them and ask and you'll see that you're
wrong.

Never been on another forum. But as MW I doubt anybody would believe you anyhow.

Shanghai has an Immigration Department of the Public Safety Bureau. Been there many times. It is a completely separate department in a completely separate building. Every three months to renew my "L" visa to qualify for my "D" visa.

Again, do not know what you are smoking and do not care. You are a fountain of misinformation reminds me of Iraq's Minister of Misinformation, just a little.

Any reputable person on the forum care to make a phone call to the PSB and call MW's bluff?

Why?

This topic seems to be very much "on-topic."
