Anyone transitting through Taiwan should ask to stay at China Airline's Miramar country club. |

Well, it is near the airport.
Inexpensive.
Nice spa.
Large, luxurious rooms.
Free shuttle to airport.
Bathtubs, albeit shallow.
Bathrooms stocked with amenities.
Roomservice.
Cable TV
Discounted golf fees.
Just a whole lot nicer than the other transit hotel. Don't recall the name but the one with the signs warning against escaping immigration officials.
Been there? |

How far from the airport and how much does it cost? You will have to forgive my pessimism but because of years living and traveling around Taiwan, I have associated the name China Airlines with plane crashes, bad service and high prices.
Good luck,
A. |

$40 something U.S. and about a 20 minute drive from the airport.
Have you been to Kenting and how did you like it?
We were refused entry to VN and spent 10 days at Kenting and Nan Yuan.
Miserable weather and food.
Interesting thing those beetle-nuts, dig the salesgirls. |
