"With great distress, I must say this discrimination sucks where teachers are chosen on the basis of their skin colour and country of origin. I hope such educators and recruiters who supposedly provide an 'education' but know precious little about it, suffer...and suffer the same hell that I am suffering.
This is a curse...not only upon you but on others like you - wherever they are wherever such discrimiantion exists.
Your business will collapse soon!"
This is what my heart says and I want to send this mail to those who pander to these attitudes.
Shall I? |

Sorry to hear about your ongoing struggles, mate. I am sure that if all of those folks from Ghana, Cameroun and Nigeria can get a job in China then you should be able to get one as well....
Don't give up yet, new semester is almost here and the schools will be scrambling around for teachers. Just keep sending them applications. |

Thanks, Nolefan, for your compassion.
Yes, I am trying...and losing hope faster than a man stabbed with a knife loses blood |

I also sympathize. There are certain sites (you likely know them) that ask for teachers on skin color which is a disgrace.
Anyway I just wanted to add it's not real easy for anyone. There have been other threads on this---some are truly exaggerating the number of teaching jobs here..I suppose I fit the "correct" profile---perhaps 5 years above the ideal age. Anyway I have not been able to scare up a decent offer in a solid month of looking. I have been offered 7000 for a training center with NO HOUSING OR VISA. What is the point of that? Another offer looked pretty good but only shared housing. Others are completely off the rail lines. And the scariest thing is even offers like these will be pulled away if you don't grab thenm immediately.
This should be a good time to be looking. IMO the situation will not improve. |
