Hi--
I'm looking to connect with outher musicians (I'm a teacher too, BTW) in Bangkok; is there some kind of bulletin board or website, or physical corkboard?

There's a jam session every Sunday night at Tokyo Joe's (Sukumvit 22). Georgia plays on Tuesdays and is happy for people to sit in. Both are for blues.
There's a more general open night on Mondays at Noriega's (Silom 4).
You can also try Ad Here The 13th in Banglampoo - great music, tiny bar. |

Hi...
I'll be in Bangkok for a week and Pattaya for two days.
I would a few questions for those of you that live there.
Anyone know a club where I could catch a live rock band?
Also, on a security level. There's no problems in roaming around Bangkok alone at night in a Tuk-Tuk or a ricksha?
I'll also be in Phi phi for a day. Would it be difficult to get to the J. Bond Island from there?
