I got a real simple question: What's the legal drinking age in Hong Kong? I'm guessing Hong Kong pays more attention to things like this than China does (aka "laws"). I'm only 19, so if it's 21, I guess I'm S.O.L. Thanks a lot.

As far as I know it's 18. I am currently in Hong Kong and I have been to numerous venues/joints but was never asked for any ID verification. They don't seem to care all that much as long as you don't look seriously under 18.

18...however, I do not think they enforce it all that much.

My wife was asked to show her ID card to prove her age when we were drinking with a bunch of friends in Wanchai. She was delighted! She was 25 at the time!!!
