I found my TEFL certificate to be VERY helpful. I suppose everyone is different...  |

I found that the TEFL course I took in Canada before coming to Mexico didn't prepare me well for Mexico. We were in more of an ESL setting though, when studying.
My background in journalism has helped immensely, though I would have to say that I learned far more on the job than from either an unrelated degree or the TEFL course. |
