I don't think you can get it for just a month!

Depends on what level of broadband you want?

Hi:

The link below presents a pretty decent overview of the various
internet options currently available in Thailand:

http://www.thailandguru.com/infra-internet.html (Thailand Guru)

And here's a list of 19 ISPs in Thailand:

http://www.cat.net.th/isp/ (Communications Authority of Thailand)

And some ADSL prices from Internet KSC:

http://www.ksc.co.th/Item.aspx?Channel=2&Item=1028&Page=3

And from CS LOXINFO for comparison:

http://www.csloxinfo.com/broadband/adsl_STD_price_en.asp

And one more from Inet Thailand:

http://broadband.inet.co.th/

As for satellite TV: I'd say most of the decent apartments in BKK have
some form of cable TV, which is usually free or very, very cheap.

Thanks kent for your interesting information about internet connections.

There must be a farang who has had satellite TV connected in an apartment.

Yes, I had UBC connected when I was in an apartment, but do you really want to pay 12-15K just to have it for a month?I'm not even sure if you can do that, it wouldn't surprise me if they want you to sign for a year. Although you can move it for a few thousand Baht (which is what I had to do when I moved from my apartment to my house).

Like Kent says a lot of apartments have a free (or for a few hundred Baht) basic UBC package on offer!

Is 12 or 15k for a one year subscription including installation costs.

That's just to put it in (although I think cable is a tad cheaper). Then you're looking at the monthly rental as well (gold package is around 1,500 Baht a month).

This should help with the details.

Just click on 'Get UBC' on the top menu:

I live just outside Bangkok in Samuthprakarn province. I have used Jasmine Internet for 2-3 years now, and I highly recommend the company for server speed, price, and service. The 24-hour a day, all month Ji Speed Up 30 days package costs 329 Baht per month. I rarely get disconnected during the day. Pay by credit card or by cash through a bank, and probably in other ways too.

I hope this helps someone.
