Hey I just wanted to ask in my best English something. Our boss said we can't now work in the same town if we even do find another job. He says he will cancel the ARC I have right away.

I wonder if this is legal for him or the ARC people. I can works where I want to after his job yes? He said it was in his contract. I think he is a bad snake man.

My boyfriend wants to import big cheeses from France, I hate but needs me to help him. He said being here would help to learn our business with Chinese. He has a doctor degree in business, and we use a business visa he has now. I have ARC's.

One of you is supposed to have a business visa, not an ARC.

Oh, no in all fairness..

So, both of you are working there, but only one with an ARC, or just you're working there but he told you both to leave town?
Or perhaps, he only told you to leave town but economically speaking that means both of you?
Try this site:

It's hosted by lawyers, and has forums where you can post questions for lawyers to answer, subject to registration. It even has a Taiwan page these days.

Well I can't say that the back flip by your boss was unexpected.

Yes it is totally legal for him to cancel your work permit hence your resident visa hence your ARC. In fact this is not just a right, but a legal obligation. As your 'visa sponsor' your boss is legally responsible for you in a number of ways, and therefore it is in his best interests to ensure that you are no longer under his name if you no longer work for him.

As far as preventing you from working in the same town, well that is obviously not legally enforceable even if it were stated in your contract. You cannot require this of people, and it would be classified as 'unreasonable' by any court if he tried to enforce it. This doesn't mean that he cannot make your life so difficult that you find living in the same town unbearable however. It really depends on how much you have pissed him off, and judging by your posts on this forum, I wouldn't be surprised if he does in fact try to run you out of town.

My advice is change towns, change careers, and quite possibly even consider changing countries!

He can't tell you not to work in the same town again. He has no right to tell you this and, as another already told you, he has no way to enforce this rule.

Not sure how or under what pretence you got your first ARC. However, while your boss cannot make you leave town, it will be difficult for you find another job, given that you don't really qualify for esl work. Further, it is unlikely you will get another ARC anywhere.

Edit: he actually does have a way to enforce his leave town rule, if he is nasty enough. Neither you nor your boyfriend is qualified to work here legally as an English teacher. If he finds out where you work, all he needs to do is report you to the authorities to have you deported. You may want to take his threat halfway seriously as you have few options without legal residence.

Wooof! My dog he say. LOL!

Look. Everyone here has tried to help you at one time or another. You ask questions and you get answers from us. Too bad you don't like the truth.

Yes, some people like to make a little fun of your English ability. It's pretty bad. What isn't funny is that you had a job teaching the language. That is a very bad joke.

I've been playing along as if at least the idea of you were real. I suspect you aren't real at all and are just some internet attention freak baiting us. Naughty naughty.

Dough! Homer Simpson he say.

If this person is by chance real and is teaching English that is a sin. I have met Taiwanese people who are better at English than you and an employer would not have to pay them much to work for him or her!!!

My boyfriend, he say this.

"Listen, you F*ck. Someone's got their finger up your ass, and you seem to like it. You seem to come across as 'The man of the board,' but we Cajuns and Spaniards think differently. Is your English so good, you sock sucker?

Say this again to my wife and I'll find connections. "Her English is bad," you say. Well, buttkisser, so is yur sense of self."

Quid pro quo, David.

Man, I want to meet you face to face. I'm frogged!

First there was Jason Seeborn.

Then came AKATDM.

Now.... EphemeralReal.

One wonders if these three aliases were the one and the same.

If the moderators do nothing about this thread and this obvious troll, well, what can I say?

Your bf doesn't want to meet me, trust me. I'm neither small nor meek in person. Is that a threat BTW?
