My boyfriend, he say this.

Say this again to my wife and I'll find connections. "Her English is bad," you say. Well, buttkisser, so is yur sense of self."

Quid pro quo, David.

Man, I want to meet you face to face. I'm frogged!

Oops! Your writing style just changed again. Sock sucker is a very deliberate mistake BTW and who are 'we Cajuns and Spaniards '?
Your English is clearly good enough to have responded to earlier posts but you (tu/vous) chose not to.
You've asked for other peoples help but been deliberately evasive. I have no problem with anonymity, but you did it to the point you were impossible to help.
Although actually Cajun might explain your ARC, we both know I don't believe a word you say anyway.
Until you were posting veiled threats I actually saw you as quite funny. Personally, I suspect you're a native English speaker making bad steriotypes of non native speakers but either way EphemeralReal.
It's been real.
P.S. Last time I'm even going to bother replying.

Linguistically challenged, serious schizoid or complete hoax? You be be the judge of the real EphemeralSurreal. I'm leaning towards the cashew variety after that last bit of literary flatuance. Rolling Eyes

Listen, when we came to this board we needed suggestions, not criticisms. This belligerent behavior on your behalf should be of the moderators' concern to curtail, although I've not a once vocalized my disagreements to them.

If you want to criticize my girlfriend, then you should be more sensitive to her lack of English skills. I also get the feeling some are not being cordial in their speech but confrontational. My girlfriend wants to practice her English, and although you may be right that she can't teach, she is nonetheless welcomed by the Taiwanese, so who gives you the right?

And who said I'm an Academic, or AKATIDM? What's that supposed to mean? Is this some kind of frat?

This funky feeling, of freedom for sale, and that at the behest of belligerence, is nothing but cheesy.

Then again, if this meek man wants to have a go and do some Cajun clam-holds, be aware I'm also good at throwing my weight around and once I get a hold of you, I could squash you.

No you didn't. You came to this board in the hope that we would all stick up for you and say what a terrible boss you had, and how poor you both were for being placed in the situation that you were placed. Have a read back to your original posts and you will see that this is true.

I believe that no one has supported you as you are:

a. Accusational - You are nice with people until someone says something that you disagree with, and then you attack them accusing them of being less than nice. I suspect this is what happened in real life with your boss and the school that you worked at, and the reason for the pickle that you are now in.

b. Evasive - I have asked a number of questions in an effort to understand your situation a bit more so that I could offer some words that might help. You have avoided answering these questions which suggests that either you don't really want help and are just here trolling; or you are hiding something. Either way we can't help someone who doesn't want to help him or herself.

c. Offensive - Your posts are very offensive, and your inability to accept what people actually say is an issue that you will need to deal with otherwise you will become one very isolated and angry young man, or perhaps are my comments too late in this regard!

d. Wrong - Just because you are a 'foreigner' doesn't mean that you are always right and that other foreigners should automatically stick up for you. You have no right teaching English here in Taiwan, nor does your girlfriend. You have no right to be misleading employers and students in the way that you both do. You have no right to even be doing what you are doing as by your oen accounts you are working illegally anyway. Why not pack up and go home, or start to sell cheese or whatever your purpose for being here in Taiwan is.

You are the beligerent one. No one had shown you any disrespect, until you at first posted in that manner. The post by Taoyuan Steve that seems to have offended you the most was an exact mirror of your previous post with the words changed somewhat. If you didn't like his post, then surely you can see why the rest of us didn't like yours!

More than one poster has commented that yours and your girlfriends English skills are quite good. No one has unduly criticized her English skills.

You yourself, as well as your girlfriend, have both accepted the deficiencies in her English skills on this very forum. This is the point at issue. To be an English teacher here, working as a native English speaker, her English should be at the level of a native English speaker, which it isn't. Nor is yours.

You may both claim to have the right to teach English here in Taiwan - which is clearly ridiculous when neither of you can communicate particularly effectively in the language. So we claim the right to point this obvious discrepancy out to you both!

If your girlfriend wants to practice her English then she should be a student in the class - not teaching the subject! What kind of justification is this for what you and your girlfriend are doing?

Just because the schools may accept you both as native speakers, based most likely upon your appearance, does not give you the right to take advantage of their inability to determine if you are in fact a native speaker or not. Here is a question that I am sure you will not answer, or answer with a lie, but here goes anyway:

Do you tell your prospective employers that you and your girlfriend are second language learners from France and Spain, who are here in Taiwan to sell cheese and practice English?

If the answer is no, then you are being dishonest, just as we all suspected from very early on.

AKATDN is the username of an idiot who used to post here before being banned. He posted stuff that was irrelevant to the board, offended others, threatened others, and never answered any questions that were asked of him. Someone has likened you to him - and I cannot say that I don't see the comparison!

Threats of physical harm are not becoming of a real man, and will get you banned from this forum.

If you wish to participate here then I suggest that you refrain from making these types of comments or someone will most surely complain to the moderators about your posts!

No, don't complain. I need something to laugh at. These posts provide a great sense of amusement.

If I had a pocket of gold, I'd buy a nice computer, play professional, slice up some sentences to incrimminate others by. And like I'd read a lengthy diatribe to debate you, Clark, and say You're accusational in return.

I didn't come to this board to ask of your sympathy. I wanted to test you, and whoever has the will to power. You may think He wants to complain about his boss, therefore, whine. Actually, I wanted to see if this weren't true, that abuse of workers' rights is, or is not, a phantom, or your ideals of exclusive thinking a one-handed Vietnamese girl would like to end with an exclammation mark, while you sit there in front of a computer contemplating cause and effect, as if our joining this board was meant only for your end results. It appears that only effect leads to cause and your last comment, but evolution in progress, irregardless of the Laws of Thermodynamics.

I think you should explain why you use this name, Ki, as a way of responding so humorously. It's as if Ki was without its meaning, and you, I hardly doubt know anything more than feminism of feeling.
