Dear veiledsentiments,
" But now that I think about it, being beyond 50 (but not as beyond as JohnS), the idea of the younger male does seem more appealing. "
Hmm, did I misread the above? But let's not over-generalize about youth and age, either. There are certainly some codgers who wouldn't be able to carry on an " intelligent conversation " if their lives depended on it, just as there are some young bucks who could. Ageism works both ways.
Regards,
John

What?! Not me, Officer! He came on to me--I am innocent, I swear! At least he was legal...well, he said he was legal...I did nothing to encourage him--I'm too inept for that. No more statements until my lawyer gets here!

As for what causes a person to be attracted to someone else, I think it's very difficult to make generalizations. In matters of the heart, you've got to consider the specific individuals involved but even that is no guarantee. I love both my parents but I've given up trying to figure out what brought them together--no way those two ever made sense. I guess I should just be happy that they did get hitched, else the world would have been denied my sparkling presence.

What? me generalize?

In little mini messages like these, generalizing is about all we have time or space for. Smile

And the topic does tend to lead to generalizations, based on our experiences. As I said before - what the heck do I know about it anyway. The whole 'much younger man'' thing sounds appealing in theory, but I still have my doubts about it being more than a hobby.

Tell ya what, VS: if you ever make it out this way, let me know. We'll get on the bus and see if there's anything to this "younger men" thing. Maybe my admirer has a brother for you and we can double date--take them to park and let them play on the swings or something.

Hey Irish

You're on. Now --- if I can just get someone to pay for my plane ticket.

(perhaps this is where the reverse theory of the 90 year old sugar daddy would come into play)

ps John: I just noted on another thread that I have created that monster you predicted. Kent now has two capital letters in different colors. So sorry --- that is what happens when one doesn't think before one posts. Embarassed

Dear veiledsentiments,
Whoa - you mean you're supposed to THINK before you post? Sweet sufferin' succotash, are you trying to depopulate Dave's message boards?
Do you seriously - ah, think - I could have run up 572 postings if I were actually thinking before I wrote? Good Lord, woman - you may have done it again, only on a wider scale this time. Let's just hope very few take your message seriously; otherwise it's going to get awfully lonely here.
Regards,
John
