				| I need to rent a long term apartment in Tokyo. I have heard that most agents don't deal with gaijin. Any recommendations of those who DO lower themselves to deal with us non-Japanese... Who do YOU rent from in Tokyo? | |

				| In my experience, the problem is not with the real estate agents themselves but with the landlords. I found most real estate agents to be gaijin friendly... It's just business to them so if you've got the cash, they'll deal with anyone.
Once you find a place with that agent, they will make a call to the landlord who will then say either yes or no. In my experience, it was about 50/50 finding gaijin friendly LANDLORDS.

Generally though, the situation is not so bad and it's not so diffficult to find a place. I would tend to avoid the smaller type real estates run by elderly couples. That was just my experience though... Everyone's will be different.
