Exactly how much research did you do before you went to Taiwan?

You may have to come up to Taipei to use these schools (Pioneer or CLI). To my knowledge, there is only TLI in Gaoxiong. TLI is great school, but they charge alot more (more than double) than the others as they take the Chinese instruction side of things more seriously.

That is a good way to get into a lot of trouble. Telling a lie on Taiwan is quite acceptable and even considered to be polite. Forgery on the other hand is not acceptable although even the most astute ROC crony has to admit forgery is very common on Taiwan. You however are a sub human foreigner and are not afforded the same absence of mind.
You are lucky that this is Taiwan and not a real country or you may very well have ended up in jail.
Get you TESOL certificate and try again or bypass the whole ARC fiasco entirely and enroll in Chinese classes. For most people taking classes cost less than paying taxes.
