|
|
Hi,
I am looking for a certification course in Mexico. There are so many options!
Ideally, I would like to find a course that is legitimate and fairly priced, provides certification that is recognized, or even preferred, throughout Latin America, and also provides assistance and support post-certification, such as help finding a good job, resources for teachers, etc.
Can anyone recommend a good course, or even let me know which courses to stay away from?
Thanks |

Didn't you post this question before somewhere here? Looks familiar...
You have a few options in Mexico...
-ITTO in Guadalajara
-Teachers Latin America in Mexico City (where I work)
These two offer post course job placement assistance.
-International House in Playa del Carmen
Inhouse jobs, I believe
-University English Teachers in Puerto Vallarta
Don't know about job placement with them
-Teach and Travel in Progreso
Mama always said if you can't say anything good...
There might be others... |

Guy, how is the online TEFL course in terms of how it's recognized by schools your company would provide placement for? DO they recognize it as a legitimate certification? |

The online course works well and is recognized the same as the regular course WHEN you do a practical component or internship. Every online course has the same troubles in how to get the practice in... |

Hi Guy,
Marimar here. I was just looking at the website for Teachers Latin America and their ESL Teacher's training program, and it looks really good! I had never heard of them before until I read your post.
I'm thinking maybe I'll go that route to find a job in Mexico...since my ESL experience is limited. I want to start my course at Teachers Latin America in January 2006 (when I graduate from college). How much in advance do I have to apply, or do you know who I could email for all that info?
Thanks a lot!
