I have only a Trinity Tesol cert,and was told after taking it in London in 1999 by the authorities here in Cyprus where I have lived for 25 years and have dual nationality,that no degree means no teaching job,either in a government school or private institute in Cyprus as the education ministry does not allow it,so tough!They also warned me not to bother going to Greece as I will find the same situation there(and apparently,in Turkey and many other countries such as Japan,Thailand etc.)
There used to be a system here where exemption certificates were sometimes given to persons such as myself who are native speakers of English etc. but they told me this has been stopped as people"abused" it,whatever that means!
Any commments or suggestions anyone?
