Hi,
the question above, seriously. Preferably in Central, Tsimshatsui or Causeway Bay.
The TV should be from a reputable brand, come with a warranty and cost as little as possible. 27 inch screen; other details or gadgetry depending on offer. |

Two suggestions:
1) Fortress, they have a great 1 year warrenty in addition to the manufacturers warrenty.
2) Check out the Wan Chi computer centre.
Also I would suggest you consider the projection TV's too. |

There are two types of flat screen TVs: plasma and LCD.
I asked a HK person your question and was told "in any electrical appliance shop"!
You could try the yellow pages or phone 1081 directory enquiries. |

Fortress is selling a "Rogers" branded LCD (not taking the micky here Roger, it apparently is an Enlgish brand) that looked very decent. It was around 10,000 HK and was between 6 and 13 thousand cheaper than the LGF or Philips of the same size. It was quite big, but not sure of the actual size. |

Actually I am not sure exactly what you mean. I have a flat screen tv. But it is is just a normal cathode ray tube thing. Do you an LCD or Plasma TV or do you mean a CRT? |

I saw a nice documentary about flat scren tv's.
Before you buy test it! Use a video like StarWars.
A lot of the older models have poor pixcel rendering. Rather like a bad copy of a pirate VCD when it comes to lots of screen action. |

Chris...your point is valid on the LCD point..but Roger..let us know whether you mean an LCD/Plasma screen or a CRT...from the posts here it seems that we are confused. I have been surveying the LCD/Plasma thing for about a year now...so this is interesting stuff..I am watching prices waiting for a good deal and good reliability...and it is a great distraction from all the important things in life... |

Thanks, once again, for the request for clarification: yes, I am looking for an LCD or plasma type TV. Not cathode. |
