I am a native Spanish teacher and I used to teach English in my hometown too (Argentina).
I wonder If there is anyway I could find a job in the midwest without qualifications and without a working visa...I mean, americans and brits do it all the time in my country, Shouldn't I be able to do it as well?

Hello from Santa Fe! Very Happy
You are right, LadyPau, Brits and Americans come and work here ...quite... freely. To get a working visa in US takes time, in that you need to have a work contract in your hand when you go to the American Embassy in BA to apply for the visa, and then... they decide if they want to give the visa or not. Im telling you this, because I was denied, my case was different because I was going there on holidays, not for work, but I saw an angry woman at the embassy sidewalk, saying she had had a contract work and was denied this time, being her third time..., so...who knows! the point is that you have to pay 100 dollars to apply for the visa, and, if you are denied noone is giving you that money back! Evil or Very Mad
About Britain I dont really know, so I dont think I can help. I have a friend who travelled there and married an English man, but she is now back here. If you think I can be of any help just let me know.
