				| Have a look at this website:
 http://www.world66.com/myworld66/visitedCountries

Just select the countries you have visited and it will tell you what percentage of the world that is.

 I got 24%.

 Anyone else?

				| 48 countries, 21% I thought I was too. I guess there were a lot of small countries.

				| 11% (But spent a long time seeing it! It's quality, not...)

But does that calculate percentage based on land area, population, number of countries, or what?

I think the % is the number of countries. In other words, a few hours at the Singapore airport is the same as 10 years in China.
I prefer to stay in a country awhile and actually see something rather than breeze through and hit 4 countries in a day like many Eurailers.
 Still, 39 countries and 17%.

				| 20% Yeah, what are we talking about, just the percentage of countries? I don't need a website for that. It would be interesting to factor in length of stay, population and land mass. | |

				| 4%.
It's sort of an interesting problem, in a way. Land mass? But I haven't seen much of Canada. Should I get all of Canada when I've only been in BC? By city? Have I even seen all of the town I grew up in? Been down every street? It's a fractal problem.

Dude, have you ever looked at your hand? I mean, REALLY looked at your hand?

What percentage of the world's people have I made eye contact with?

What about the countries you have visited many times too?

And I agree - I was in California for 3 months but why should I have all of the US?

But it was a fun exercise.

				| I was 10% as well, but I spent several years in the various countries in Britain (doesnt Scotland count?) and Turkey and South Africa. I didn't rush through these as I may have done elsewhere (24 hours in Bulgaria) | |
