Woz,
my thanks. The candle is still burnin' in the window for you here. My plans run no further than maintaining a serene wa, teaching my classes, and keeping my girlfriend's eyes glassy at all times. I may also venture to Shanghai soon...I need some things there, and I want to see the Mao Zedong poster exhibit at the Revolutionary Art Museum running through June!
Jojo,
Chinasyndrome is a massively wonderful guy but his medication runs out occasionally. DO practice the chopsticks; otherwise you will be either very messy or very hungry here.
Get a bowl of "redskin" peanuts cooked with a little oil and salt. When you can comfortably pick them up and eat them with plastic chopstcks you're ready.
I listen to all kinds of noise but vocally run to ballads. Work up "Crazy" or "Sentimental Reasons".

hey there! been a long time... i was hibernating..... anyway, was great! now on to publication!
MT, i was talking to a former professor about your piece and he enjoyed it. mentioned the possiblity of putting it into the international studies newsletter for the university. if you are interested PM me so i can tell you more about it ok?
maple daquiris? don't know bout that.... so sweet.... am already hording up green olives so that when i return i can have a real martini.... when i ordered them in china i invariably got them with a cherry in 'em! don't know what they were thinking! am also goign to take along a complete bartenders dictionary.... maybe i should just open up a bar of my own over there.... any backers?
now jojo... what i would practice on would be anything better than the carpenters and the occasional john denver song as those are the most prevalent in KTVs in china.... the only good song that you will run into commonly would be the eagles' "hotel california"...... and by the time you leave you will be serious when speaking about killing celine dion whenever you hear the titanic song!

Little Fish,
Thanks. I can get all the ingredients for a martini here- including both green and black olives. Stock up on feta cheese to eat with them!
