Anyone know what are some good brand name of oral contraceptives here? Any particularly bad ones? |

Gee, why are you asking that? Hmmmm???
Don't forget that there are things that oral contraceptives don't protect you from, and play safe...
Have a great time!

Well, she posted about BC and Dating the Locals back to back in this forum... why do YOU think she's asking that? |

Hmm,
BC is available over the counter here, but that doesn't mean it is widely used. Don't really know why.
But your best (safest) bet would be to talk to a doctor or pharmacist to make sure, wouldn't it? And remember, practice safe sex. Practice, practice, practice.
On a similar note, is it easy to buy condoms where you guys are? Here in Ecuador, they don't sell them in many places. I've even found a few pharmacies that don't have them. And when they do, even the big chain stores only stock VERY small boxes. (1,2 or 3 per pack) Am I the only one that finds this inconvenient?
My Ecuadorian friends look at me like I'm stupid to even want to buy condoms, but....

Bragging?
Actually, you're right it is inconvenient isn't it? Same thing here in Mexico, though you can sometimes find the 12 packs as well as imported varieties such as the extra large types. |

Hmm, who's bragging now?
But it's true, my impression is that they just haven't caught on here yet. Although I've heard from teenagers that I know that this may be changing, in the next generation at least.

haha...I'm just kidding around.
I wonder if being extra-Catholic has something to do with lack of contraceptives? |

Fine here, 12 packs, 24 packs, small medium large and extra large, pretty big public campaign ongoing about HIV, safe sex and birth control...I'd agree with justin, just ask your pharmacist, i'm sure they'll know even if they do look at you disapprovingly... |

It-s available over the counter here, pills are more expenisve than injectables. 30 cents for an injectable that lasts three months, but there are side effects to it.
NOw I just have to find a decent doctor here. |

Lozwich... in this day and age we are still gasping when a woman/girl actually says something that makes it obvious that she has a sex life?
I use an IUD, TYVM and condoms are easily available. Got 2 in my purse right now and Im 40. Are you shocked? |

Abstinence is, by far, the safest and sanest route...but that wouldn't apply to many writing in these forums it seems...
