Hello everyone from Argentina,
I am a teacher of English in Argentina.
What I really want to know if it�s possible for argentines to get jobs there (due to our "nationality", I �m saying )
I also want to know what English people think of us, so as to know how we can be treated .
I�ve heard no bad comment about this but I just want to know it from British people themselves

The only thing that'll stop you working here is the lack of EU Citizenship or a work permit.

Educated British people generally don't hold a grudge against Argentina. Although, as with anywhere, there are plenty of morons here you may find offensive, i know i do. Though if you work in London, chances are you'll rarely meet English people; you'd probably meet more Argentines.

A couple of years ago I worked at a summer school run by a Further Education college. There was an Argentine couple working there for the summer, but I suspect they didn't continue. Not sure there because I didn't get a permanent job there either!

As for any other problems: as the local vernacular has it 'You what'? Think Dyak ghas summed up well. Might be a few jokes in bad taste, and Maradonna might be mentioned (!) but little if any hostility on any other account.

You should be fine, if the British were to be
hostile to all the countries who they went to war
with then then no-one would come here. Most
people saw the falklands war as a madwoman
who wanted to win an election.

Many Argentine football players play in the
British leagues, they don't get singled out
for abuse.

And though the average English fan thinks Maradona
is a cheating swine, the Scots and the Irish and the Welsh
think he is marvellous. I think everyone will attest
that Maradona was a genius footballer
