I have been offered a teaching job with a large school and they have asked for my location preference. Which is more interesting/more cosmopolitan/more stimulating/etc..? Which would you choose if you had a choice? What are the +'s and -'s of each?

They are only 15 minutes away from each other. It doesn't matter. But since you ask, Yokohama has about 3 million people, Tokyo has about 17 million. I think you can guess which is more cosmopolitan. Personally, I think Yokohama is far more liveable. Since the job is one of the main chains you probably won't be living in either Tokyo or Yokohama. It's more likely your apartment will be in Saitama or Kawasaki, depending on which part of Tokyo. For Yokohama you'll probably be in Kawasaki. Both Saitama and Kawasaki have a lot of concrete and not a lot of character, but I'd choose Kawasaki due to convenience to more things.
