hi,
i am planning on bringing my laptop, an electric guitar and an electric guitar multi fx pedal into vietnam when i come to teach. these items are all worth a few hundred pounds each. will there be any issues bringing these in and out of vietnam as regards customs and so on.

id slip a 10+ american dollar between your passport when you give it to customs...always worked for me...theyll treat you better and allow you to get out faster!  |

DUONG is correct. $10 in your passport and off you go. Very true.
Prep a $10 bill in an easy access pocket. The last part before exiting the airport at the X-ray machinist if he gets fussy on you, inconspicuously slip it to him.

Don't delcare everything you're carrying. OR...do you really need all those equipments going into Vietnam? Travel carefree and light as possible. |
