I have to concure with TeachEnglish.

The fearless evil leader, who claims to be Dr. Professor is indeed not so.

You do tend to get paid on time, at the lowest possible exchange rate though. It wasn't all entirely negative there. However, I found it very hard to work for someone that I had no respect for. In retrospect, I should have just taken the plunge and left without finishing my contract. Instead, I felt it was important to complete the contract and got shafted anyway.

It isn't just a personal grudge or personal problem as hinted by other posters. My husband is a Turk and knows many things about the owner. He told me to be careful when I went to work there. He was right, but I'm not sure one can be careful enough. The man is not right in his mind and is a control freak- so much so that he tries to control personal time as well as work hours.

So instead of E.T we now get a chance to bash Berlitz. Funny Cool I'v worked for both and found Berlitz to be ok. Wink

As to our topic, life is more difficult in Istanbul today then it use to be. Watch out for side streets in Taksim, some Non Turks have been rolled of late.
