| My wife and I (both teachers) plus our 3 children (ages 10, 12, and 14) have a chance at a job at the Asir Academy in Khamis Mushayt. Can anybody tell us anything about it? Safety is our greatest concern right now, especially with 3 kids. Any advice, tips, info, whatever would be highly welcome!!!!!! Many thanks. |

What about schools for the kids ? is there any provision at all ?
Khamis and Abha have nice climate - a bit chilly in the winter months. |

Schools?
Where are you moving from?
The Asiris have never been fundamentalists, but you are likely to die of boredom.
And Khamis isn't even picturesque like Abha or Al-Baha.
There are some expats there so you can share your tedium. |

Safety is not likely to be an issue, but as Mr Jones points out boredom is. I visited Khamis for shopping during my time in Abha on a number of occasions. There is nothing for your gamily to do in Khamis itself. There is some nice scenery around. Get used to enjoying it because there is nothing else. If you are staying on the big American compound then life would not be too bad. Good accomodation with facilities will be essential for you if you have a family.

| Khamis Mushayt seems to be the paint capital of Planet Terra. I have never seen so many shops selling paint. Why ? |
