|
|
Do any forum members have any suggestions regarding the best place to advertise any job vacancy that might arise here for the second half of the year.
The school has no access to international credit cards, etc. so places that require payment in US dollars or via an international credit card are out, I'm afraid.
A place where the requirements for consideration could be spelled out in clear detail would be best. We are very fussy about what we want in an appointee as it's a case of quality or nothing.
We will not work through agents who, as far as I am concerned, seem interested more in placing a warm body in the school than in recruiting the true expert that we want. |

Sorry I haven't posted here in a while Old Dog but I just got out of rehab. I am doing much better now and am now eating solid foods once again. The doctors say the mental confusion should pass in another month maybe but the shakes could last for a while even wtih the medicatoin.
Anyway I am ready to go back to work as soon as possible and if you haven't filled that job yet I would like to apply. I already have my l-visa but converting it to a zvisa shouldn't be a problem because I brought all my documents and medicatins with me.
The doctors say I should be able to pass my physical exam unless the test includes liver enzimes whatever that is. I don't have any real teaching experience but I did baby sat a lot for my sister and I am very good with little kids, retarded adults and mininator dogs.
I am wondering if I will have to send you a recent photo because I really got bloated this time around from all the drinking but I am taking water pills for that and with all teh phenabarbitol that I take I hardly shake at all any more. Also my best friend said taht he could get me some diet pills if I thought it could help my chances for getting me a good job in China but they could make me a little nervous.
I just want to say before I close taht I think all of this nonsense lately here about real degrees and such things is really stupid. You don't need a real degree to be kind and senstive and caring and to speak English and that is all what theese little kids really need. I have a really good speaking voice and ten years ago I was a professinal used car salesman and was salesmen of the year for 2 straight years and once I did a tv commercial for the same used car lot and it was a very big success. I can sing a little bit too if that can help and I dont mind going to foreign affairs parites and singing on stage and dancing too.
Just want to also say taht if getting my zvisa is going to be a problem I don't mind working with my tourest visa, I am no morallist or high horse or anything like that and my probation, for somethign I didn't do, expired 3 months ago anway. I already have ajob lined up with English first as a directer of studies but I don't really want to work 40 hours a week because of my nerves.
Hope to hear from you real soon,
regards,
Lee

Dear Lee, I was hoping for some advice rather than that wonderful application - but for that I am grateful. It's sensitive people like you we would have in mind if a job should turn up. You don't have any hairdressers in your family by any chance - upwardly mobile ones I mean?
Be assured that if a vacancy should arise, you'll be shortlisted. Your application struck a chord with me.
Hope the shakes and the mental confusion go soon. No photo will be required since I think you've presented yourself well in your avatar. O.D. |

You could try this site www.buxiban.com. It seems to offer the opportunity to supply applicants with as much information as you want them to have. It also masks email addresses so you won't get spammed from placing an ad.
Of course www.eslteachersboard.com might be a good choice also, but expect to get spammed by agents. |

| try www.thatsbj.com and any other website that you migh come across, you are bound to find what you want. I would not discard recruiters completely because they only get paid once the school is satisfied with the teacher they present them, so there is nothing to lose. |

If you are on VERY good terms with the admin at your school, why not use your own card to pay for ads at the sites you like best. If you could work out a surefire repayment guarantee from the school it would give you plenty of options.

| Couldn't you make a site at Yahoo! Geocities or some other free provider and link to the other job sites in some way? |
