Hello,
Just a quick message about visas. Is it right that you don't need a tourist visa to enter mexico....
and, how easy is it to change a tourist visa to a working one if you have a school already lined up??
Thanks |

You need a tourist visa.
In order to change that status to an FM-3, you will need appropriate help from the school you are going to work for. |

That is correct. Also, depending on what country you are from, you will get a tourist visa application on the plane or your port of entry. You can also go to a Mexican consulate or embassy beforehand to get a tourist visa. |

1) It depends on the country. Americans or Canadians are issued a "tourist card" when they arrive.
2) It is illegal to work without a work visa. In some areas of Mexico, Imagracion is quite strict about cracking down on this. A good school will help you arrange a work visa before you step into the classroom. |
