I have located 4 public complaints by foreign teachers about Cambridge Bilingual School in Shing Dian. Unfortunately they were all on the Tea lit site which has discontinued making research material available about schools for teachers. They do however still maintain a data base made available to potential employers in Chinese (for a fee) about foreign teachers who have posted a resume on the Tealit site (Blacklist).
One a descending scale of 1 (awful) to 10 (great) Cambridge Bilingual School rates a 4 as an employer of foreign teachers.

Is anyone else of their 2-3 dozen new hiries getting a funny feeling.
No Chinese (legal) contract, no offers of employment, many requests for us to translate and verify documents- then after all this communication with TECO, we tell them and customs that we are visiting Taiwan.
After being hired in May one would have hoped for better treatment. It almost seems that their enrolment is very far down and not as many teachers will be needed. |
The school is currently registered under the Kang Hsuan publishing corporation formerly known as Kang-Ho Publishing Company.
This corporation is listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (KST).
Ownership of corporations listed on the Taiwan stock exchange is made public on Taiwan but who controls the school and controls it's board of directors is unknown.
Cambridge Bilingual school is not an international school it is a Taiwanese corporation.
Cambridge Bilingual school is registered under a legal school license in Taipei county.
This corporation also owns several other schools most notably the Kimberly Art and Kimberly American schools as well as several other publishing and educational corporations.
You will not find any public information about this corporation or it's schools that is not put out by the corporation.
Check your PM for information from former foreign teachers.
Good luck,
A. |
