I have been trying to find food colouring here in China and so far, no luck. I have tried Carrefour and Metro. Does anyone know where I can get some? |

Uh, the Jenny Lou store near the West Gate of Chaoyang Park in Chaoyang District in east Beijing has got lots of this stuff. Elsewhere I haven't the faintest clue. |

2 words...............................inkjet cartridges
Sorry, I had to do it. Seriously, I saw food coloring at Carrefour a few weeks ago but it's one of those things they stock once and then never restock. Try different colored candies???? Have to account for the sugar but there might be other foods that will work.
Strawberries? Grapes? What are you making? |

Get my post? I'm sure Shanghai has grocery stores that sell that stuff too. Just a gentle reminder: please post this kind of topic on the other board, as in OFF-topic China. Hao ma? |

I came to China in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Always, I had an early class on March 18th. Before, I always had Friday off. Now St.Patrick's Day is on a Thursday. This year for the first time I have Friday classes - startiing at 8:00 A.M. The world is conspiring to keep me sober. WAAAAAAAAA. |

The reason I need the food colouring is to colour easter eggs with my school (thus making this job-related). Thanks for the info, I am in Changzhou so I will try and get to City Supermarket in Shanghai. |

Go to the bakery in your town. They will have the concentrated paste type used for birthday cake decorating. The tiniest amount in water will color MANY eggs. (did this with my daughter last year) They will definitely sell you some and more likely than not give you some if you tell them you are a teacher and it is for a school project. Hope I can save you a trip! Have fun. |

I understand KFC has a surplus of red food coloring. Perhaps they'll be willing to part with it for a small fee. ; ) |
