Ghost, your words are starting to cause a great deal of offence in this particular thread. Generally, your contributions are worthwhile, however on this issue there are clearly many people in a far stronger position to comment than yourself. This effort to degrade the contributors to this thread by slagging off their spelling mistakes is just plain pathetic. If you don't like people disagreeing with you, stick to topics you know something about, because your responses to this post are getting desperate.

I agree with you ghost whole-heartedly, however I think that it is a big jump to judge someone's ability based on the posts that he/she makes on an internet forum.
We've gone way off topic and that was regarding cost of living. Had I have known that this question would warrant such negativity, I would have never posed the question.
Anyways, I do appreciate the replies and the effort of those who answered my question.
Thanks,
B. Copeland |

In an ideal world, students might have a teacher who possessed perfect mastery of the language, thorough grammar knowledge, and inter-personal skills in the classroom.
Teachers who make frequent spelling errors are not necessarily bad teachers, but the impression they make (especially to students...if and when..) with regard to errors would not be positive...spelling is one detail, and one should look at the whole package, one concedes. |
