| Deconstructor, Can you get English books sent to you in SA? I mean can you pruchase books without having them sent from England or the U.S. Saudi Arabia sounds like a good place to live if you wanted to earn a distant MA. You might actually enjoy having something to do!!! |

JZer,
As far as I know, the companies there have their own texts and you gotta use those. You won't find many texts there that you could in US/Canada/England. You probably won't need many Western texts anyway because often they are not considered culturally appropriate. You never know what you might inadvertently say to suddenly have yourself beheaded. |

If ypu've got a credit card Amazon will deliver. However as you are paying $7 a book shipping it is best to see if you can get the book from Jarir Bookstore first. They charge around 15% more than the dollar list price, but as you can get a 10% discount card, you recoup most of that.
There's no problem in keeping yourself occupied (three different satellite providers), Internet, and either rental or pirataed DVD or CD movies. It's the social life that is near non-existent. |
