| When you talk about "Japanese Warlord" are you referring to Mugen? Anyway, it was just an example, one of my friends got a Hanko made up with the kanji for Mugen (meaning "infinity"). This is the same as the Honda racing's Mugen and I doubt that it is the same Kanji used by the historical clan. |

| I'm sorry, I was talking about using "Taira". Even so, that part of my post was irrelevant since, the OP was going to use different kanji than the clan name. |

| I think Guest of Japan has it right. Registered hanko are acceptable. However, as everyone else has noted, insisting on a kanji name is not a good idea. It's not going to help you get a job and you'll probably be thought quite odd. |

Someone gave me a kanji hanko soon after I arrived here so I used it for opening several bank accounts, and with real estate agents, no probs.
Now I learned more kanji readings though I regret that coz I would've liked to make one with some cooler kanji, still with the same phonetic reading of course.
So doubt that it is fraudulant as Glenski claimed. Anyhow, what's up with the attitude Glenski? The poster just asked a question.
Don't put it on your resume or anything like that though. |
