Hi, I'm an Australian (CELTA, 4 yrs exp) wanting to work in Poland but ideally would like to get there before summer. Is there any work around doing summer camps/programs? And is it really true I'd have to fly straight back home again to get a working visa sorted (arggggh!!) ??? |

I knew two teachers that taught at a camp one summer but I heard it sucked.
A lot of work and not much money. |

I've heard the same as Brooks about summer camps in Poland.
As you're an Aussie you might want to consider work in the UK over the summer (if you still qualify for a working holiday visa). There is lots of it and the pay is far better than in Poland (around 200 per week net and you get food and board thrown in). The work load can be pretty disgusting though.
As to the visa for Poland: it has to be put in your passport in the country where you are a legal resident. I know more than a few Aussies and Kiwis who simply registered themselves as resident of the UK (thanks to a British mother or father) and so were able to go to London to get their visa. |
