Why would I "tell my friend to boycott teaching in that building?"

How could I "cry [you] a river"?

I'm just trying to understand your, (as a moderator on this forum), advice here. I hope you'll explain yourself more clearly.

Dearest echo,

I'm older than you are. Unlike you, however, I don't assume that laws and rules in other countries are meant for me and my "friends" to break (no matter how illogical or inconvenient those rules might seem to me). But if you can get away with it, go right ahead. Special treatment is great if you need it -- for your health, your emotional well-being or your ego.

Always laughing at (and maybe with) you...

Wink

Surely echo is old enough to remember the song to which ChrisRose refers.

To Echo Serria,

I have repeatedly informed you thst I am posting my own personal comments to your thread.

You seem to be in search of answers to support your own conclusions.

If you look through the thread you will see the replies from the posters here.

As requested here are yoru clearer instructions.

Jump up and down stamping your foot and yell "You are wrong, wrong wrong. Why is everyone aginst me!" Whilst doing this start to cry, and continue when the volume of tear drops are enougth for a small river.

P.S. Echo Sierria, were you once posting under the nick Global Hitch-hiker or some similar spelling/nick?

You have posted yoru questions. The users here, including myself have replied.

Chris Rose, yeah, I hear what you are saying.

I can't confirm or deny that I understand it, and I can't confirm or deny that I agree with it, but I hear it, I've heard it, and perhaps I'll go on hearing it.

I wonder whether Dave knows about it? Idea

Echo,

Perhaps your friend was lucky that the doorman didn't have a right to just slap on a fine of say $250 - offenders will be prosecuted and all of that.

I saw three male passengers being escorted from the 1st class compartment of the KCR by five KCR enforcement personnel and a policeman. They had to show identification and pay fines there on the spot - I think they were foreigners and may not have known the laws in HK but apparently ignorance is no protection from the law.

Frankly, I think having a 1st class compartment is nonsense especially given the over-crowding of the KCR and the fact that you might have to stand up in the 1st class compartment anyway - I mean you are not guaranteed a seat for your money!
