I've got a couple hours I can spend at TESOL San Antonio Saturday. Anybody know how the job booths work? How long do you usually have to wait for an interview? |

I went to TESOL Baltimore in 2003. There are slight variations among recruiters but basically the process is this. You find a job posted on a board that you are interested in and then you put in a resume (and/or anything else the employer asks for) Periodically, lists of names are posted of those individuals that the employer/recruiter wants to talk to. How quickly this happens is totally up to the individual organization - generally, the more they want people, the quicker this process is. I saw as little as 15 mins and as long as a day (volunteered a bit in this section). Then you sign up for an interview. Again, lag time varies.
The Middle East guys usually work very fast. |

Thanks for the good info. Sounds like it won't be worth the price of admission, considering my time limit. |
