Have a look at the teaching in Vietnam FAQ, listed somewhere on the main Vietnam Forum Index.
If you have a TEFL cert you should find work within a couple of weeks & get a full schedule within a month. Cost of living is low, especially if you can acclimatise to the local food. Biggest class size I teach is 12, I think 12-15 is the average. Students are very polite & respectful but can sometimes be a bit shy and expect to be entertained as well as educated. Aircon is pretty standard. Some schools pay for your visa, some don't. Hourly rates vary between $12 and $20+. Accomm with AC is as cheap as $100 per month if you share with others.
Otherwise go to the FAQ for more detailed info, & good luck! |
