Lazer Guided Melodies is a fantastic album. Can we mention My Bloody Valentine?

Was never a huge fan of MBV, my brothers are though...i used to love a lot of the US indie stuff, Breeders, Belly, Lemonheads, Pixies/Frank Black Madder Rose (pre-trip hop embarrassment days), Buffalo Tom along with the English stuff like Tricky and Massive Attack with PJ Harvey, Blur, Oasis, Suede, Teenage Fanclub, Tindersticks (they were English, right?)...early-mid 90s music was sooo good...only now is it starting to get better again after a crap few years...Libertines, Franz Ferdinand making decent music at last...beats this r n b shi te that's been going around boybands and crap divas like the plague in recent times Very Happy

Or maybe at 27 i'm just past it and can't appreciate the changing tastes of our nation's youth Sad Very Happy (but not quite as out of touch with the world as a certain OP)

I consoled myself with mainly NordAmerican bands during those lean mid-90s - Pavement, Mercury Rev, Flaming Lips for example. Almost anything on www.mergerecords.com is pretty damn good - I think they release Teenage Fanclub in the States. Not sure about the Libertines, Franz Ferdinand good though. And the Pixies are pretty much unsurpassable.

Oh yeah, I think this relegation thing might go to the wire. Although I hope not as we've got United on the last day of the season. Whilst you have P*mpey I believe. Should be fun and games. Very Happy

Forgot about Pavement..Slanted and Enchanted and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain two of my faves from way back when...

Yep, we've got the Skates on the last day Manure the week b4...maybe we'll do you a favour and beat them so you stay up...? Another Saints last day miracle and not a fat englishman with a french surname anywhere to be seen (except on the pitch at halftime like at every one of your home games...) Very Happy

Wonder whether Paulie's a footy fan? Probably a Wolves man, especially with the Hand of Hod in charge now Evil or Very Mad

It's quite possible they could be the one and same - they've certainly been to the same finishing school.

I'm hoping we put P*mpey in the bottom 3 when we play them at their place at the end of the month. The return of Bagpuss and Jim Smith. Hell hath no fury like a skate scorned - just Paulie's kind of game I'd imagine.

Ok, so we beat Palace on the penultimate weekend while you beat Pompey on the last and we both stay up at their expense. Damn, that sounds good.

I'm happy with that. Pompey are filth. Didn't know you had so many 6 pointers to go, we've just got the middle of the road teams like manure, ars e, villa and middbr to beat...advice on how to beat palace-don't go near the diving cheat johnson and give him his 450th penalty of the season...

Hoddle+"Disabled paying for sins in a previous life+Saints walkout+Wolves mangerial acceptance would indeed=Paulie2003

I think we're onto something here, maybe he's checking out his next job-coaching a 5th rate latin american team-using this forum...

Paulie seems to be going out to follow that reprobate reactionary cover-up sex scandal master--skyward, perhaps. But I wouldn't bet a dime on it.

I forgot to mention Tammy ('s in love?) classic: 'I never practised abstinence!'...

Makes it sound like playing a piano or something similar - besides the fact that she's essentially saying that she's been sexually active her whole life...

So goes the madness...only those with good sense have moved on...

Now the blanks are taking over...so I will, finally and garcefully, exit these posts made so worthless by mindless incompetents who actually (scarey thought) may be teaching kids somewhere in this world...
