Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of, or has heard anything from friends about BCC, Bangkok Christian College ? There are two negative feedbacks I've found through Google, but the most recent is Sept 2003.

The pay is fairly good as are the paid holidays and bonus, but any advice would be much appreciated as I have an interview via English First ( also a curiosity with this position ! ) on April 18th.

The lady I spoke to to at EF was really nice, friendly, and positive, but then I saw these couple of reports that hinted at unpleasant working conditions and other annoyances/problems.

Anyway, hope to get some first hand, recent knowledge, thanks a lot in advance,

Cheers,

Dunk.

Hello,

I have made a couple of inquires about this school for a collegue of mine who, like you, had an interview scheduled with EF.

The only good thing that I have heard about the school was the salary, which tends to be slightly higher than average. However, I did hear many bad things from former teachers and current teachers about how low the teacher morale was there. That, in itself, made my friend look elsewhere.

One thing that you should remember, is that the lady from EF will become your best friend, and will be all smiles, and treat you so well ----- why? Because she is a recruiter and she doesn't get paid unless you sign on the dotted line with BCC. So, up until that point everything will be rosey.

I think there are better positions to be had in Thailand. It just depends on how much BS you can deal with and how bad you need a job. If you can wait and search more, I'd recommend it. If not, then I suppose grab it - but then "drop it like it's hot."

Hope this helps.

My friends have been working there for a couple of years (directly though) and they love it here and earn a very good wage!

Others that have worked there through agencies (Bell for example) haven't seemed as happy!

If you can get in direct go for it would be my advice, it's a good paying job then with fine bonuses etc.
