Teaching adults often has to be done through private lessons. If you are lucky you can teach adults through an adult buxiban. Those jobs can be hard to find.

Another arrangement, which I don't recommend, is allowing a consulting service to send you to the houses of individual adult students to teach them. This can take one hour of scooter riding for every two hours of teaching.

The easiest way is to just teach kids.

Unfortunately the overall number of available positions for foreign teachers has been declining on Taiwan as have wages and benefits.

Racism and secularism are the fundamental political base of the current government.
The situation does not look like it will improve anytime soon.
Good luck.

There has never been much in the way of 'benefits' here. The wages are ok. They're not really going up, but they are still enough to live on easily.

What an articulate well written first post. Absolutely no spelling errors or grammar mistakes. You can find teaching jobs in Taiwan in the island called Taiwan......To Corky, write some more information or put more thought into the question(s) you want to ask.

I have some questions I want to ask you.

Are you in Taiwan? Do you have a degree? Do you have experience teaching English? Are you healthy? How old are you? What are your monetary expectations? (A lot of people here would like free English lessons and volunteer work exists).

Also there are jobs listed in the employment section on this site and on the tealit and forumosa plus various other websites.
