Just curious as to how much your school charges its students for English classes.

At the state university where I work, students pay around 1,700 pesos per semester plus books. Two options for paying: all upfront or half upfront and the other half before midterm. They have 4.5 hours of English classes per week.

The current textbooks (student book and workbook) that the department requires cost about 400 pesos per set. Photocopies are much cheaper and acceptable. Each set of books is used for 2 semesters, so the cost is about 200 pesos per semester. (Since many of us teachers use textbooks so sparingly, I think it's kind of a rip-off, but that's just my opinion.)

There are no scholarships given for English classes. However, university employees with bases (tenured or union contracts) and their spouses and children can attend English classes for free.
