|

Hi. Though the main hiring season for the International Schools was in January and February, there are last minute job fairs...and there are still dozens of schools looking for teachers because of last minute openings or resignations.
Hopefully this will allow me to get back into secondary school teaching as the schools will be quicker to hire...even if someone only has a couple of years highschool experience, like I do. |

Yes, there is typically a little bump in hiring right at the last moment with people who backed out, didn't show up, showed up and were crazy - so fired, etc. Stay in the fray into after the last moment. |

I am all registered for the final hiring fair of the year in Maryland in late June. I hope that there are some good schools in Southeast Asia who need a teacher of my description....If not, there is some school somewhere...I feel sure that I will get in....just not sure it will be exactly where I want to be.
Cheers,

Just get your foot in the door. I think that after a couple years in that system - you are quite able to go whever you want. You will be the preferred choice - certainly - over people who have not yet entered the system. |
