Yeah, i've got a (surprisingly quick) 256k modem and it costs around 80 pesos a month. All companies offer a big 3 month discount after which the standard price comes in. I guess they just work on the basis that people can't be bothered to change their ISP every 3 months and will pay the increased price once it kicks in... |

just for comparison... it only costs $1 peso an hour to use the internet in a locutorio. and they're all over the place, many of them open 24hrs a day. |

You can get a 4mbps connection with Fibertel... I think it costs something like 600 pesos (200USD). I think that you will be OK with 512kbps...  |
