I was wondering what the job prospects are on Hokkaido or Kyushu. I have a BA in History and am finishing a TEFL certification program at Hamline University, currently, and I am trying to get information on some possible teaching destinations. Any details you could provide (good schools, possible job-openings, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

For someone with your qualifications (pretty generic and pretty standard for most entry-level teachers here), you are fair game for most of the conversation school and JET programme positions.

For ads on positions, look at the major sites.

If you can get your hands on The Japan Times (paper edition, not online), read the Monday edition.

For more info on Hokkaido positions only, subscribe to the Hokkaido Insider (and tell Ken Hartmann that I sent you).
