Could someone tell me about this organization. They state in their ad that they require teaching of 36 periods/week although they qualify this by saying the periods are only 40 minutes long. They didn't mention anything about salary. I would think that with so many hours, the salary should be much higher than comparable jobs. Anyway, does anyone have any advice about them.
Thanks in advance! |

I haven't heard rave reviews of them, but this is hearsay. Most schools don't mention specific wages in ads.
Regardless of hours, if it involves 40 mintues classes teaching children the wages are at the bottom of the scale.
Teaching children has a wage ceiling that is on the low-end. |

To be honest, I wouldnt touch EF with a bargepole. Also find out about materials. When I worked with them in another location we had to use the EF series of books which are APPALLING.
Plenty of other places to work - my advice is don't do it. |

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind when I make my decision. |

I agree with the above.
You can find much better conditions elsewhere than with EF. |

I have worked at a couple of EF centers in China and they were disastrous. The unscrupulous, dishonest and unethical employers as well as the "kiss-a.." EF Head Office in Shanghai have made the EF English First in China a "CHF" (Chinese First) franchise around. Now, if the Vietnamese EF centers are run under the management of EF Head Office from Shanghai in China, then you might be up for a challenge in EF HCM City. So, if you get there, it might be a good idea to ask about who do they respond to or who supports their academic staff there. Take it up with their Director of Studies who should not be a Vietnamese.
