below is my response to something someone said on another thread, I think its worth a thread of its own.

I have been to Myanmar,Thailand, Cambodia,Laos and Bali and have come to the conclusion that any girl met in a bar or tourist area is not worth it (the hassle,as a potential partner ) that may be a bit harsh but it IS how I conduct myself. Experience has taught me that.

I would be interested to hear what others think.

You are entitled to your opinion and maybe I am a dick. I will stick to my guns and stand by what I say. I nearly fell for the lies and the bullshit and I have friends over there teaching who have learned the hard way too. When I get hooked up with someone I would like it to be because of WHO I am not WHAT I have got.

Dont kid yourself mate. At least I dont walk around with my head up my arse thinking I 'm a bloody rockstar.

In fairness I think there is a definate element of truth in my original post. The post is however a generalisation and unfair to the genuine people who frequent the tourist areas etc

In my experience a lot of the girls out there are very hard mentally, they wont let you in and you are just another farrang which they will try and screw for everything that you have. Its a game to them and one you wont win.

I disagree with your conclusion mrjack.

Most of the numerous women that I have met in tourist and residential areas around Asia have been worth "it", atleast until the next "it" came along.

It's the same game here as it is back home, the rules are just a little different. You just got learn how to play the game, anywhere.

Like most physical relationships, it's give and take.

You might want to come over here without a defensive attitude, and with your head in the game.

Game on!
