|
|
A simple question. I am looking to move out of my place (too isolated and not that great) and am looking to move into a hotel. I know there are NETS all over the place in hotels, and I lived in one myself for a month (but it was too far away from where I work). Budget is a consideration, and I don't want to pay more than 9000 a month, and prefer less. I found a pretty good one recently in Ma On Shan, but it was just a wee bit too expensive. I work in Tai Wai near Shatin, and don't want to travel more than about 30 mins, if possible.
Anybody know any places?
Thanks in advance.

WOuld you consider living in a regular flat? I have a friend who lives in TaiWai. He says rent is reasonable where he is, but of course, no services. I too teach in TaiWai, live in Shatin. All I know of in this area is Horizon Suites and they seem a little pricey.
Good luck. |

There is a long stay hotel Tin Shui Wai...Harbour Plaza Resort City...prices used to start around 7K a month if I remember correctly.
Not sure how long the commute is but I know they do have buses going to Sha Tin...
Lots of services around and a train station that will take you into the city. |

Thanks for that info. I know about the Harbour Plaza resort, but it's way too far away. Anyway, I have a few months up my sleeve before my lease here runs out. It IS a "regular flat" by the way. |

You could always consider Classical Gardens in Tai Po. It's a fairly large, low-rise complex with loads of facilities, shuttle bus to Tai Po Market KCR station (easy for Tai Wai), and is bursting at the seams with sociable NETs. You could get a nice apartment there for less than $9000. |
