Hello all! I'm a newbie and I really want to teach in East Asia somewhere. I graduate from college on May 25, and I've been applying to various programs. I've recently been accepted to a program called Sinoculture that will send me to teach somewhere in the Shandong Province of China. I've been working with a career councelor, and he's never heard of them, so I was wondering if anyone here has. Their website is http://www.sinoculture.com. I'd really appriciate it if anyone could tell me anything they know. Thanks!

Doesn't sound very good. In China, even universities with cushy positions will be happy to hire you if you only turn up there.

You needn't be sent blind into the arse end of nowhere.

Having said that, it probably isn't dangerous, and you might have an experience to remember.

I am always weary of anyone who wants you to pay for a service like this, especially waht would be a months wage. Why pay for something you can do on job site's like Dave's? Reputable companies usually are paid by schools to recruit for them, they don't charge those being recruited. I would be wary and be more apt to beleive that since English teachers are in such high demand in China it is they who should be paying you, not the other way around.
