Following on from the EBC thread, where we wandered off into teachers pay and conditions, I was wondering, do any of you actually have a twelve month teaching contract?

Some of the now ailing larger chains do (or did). Sales practices and quality of education were questionable but at least contracts were all year round.

No. My contract only covers the academic year, from October to the end of June. If I had wanted a summer job, I would have had to apply separately. At the school where I teach, very few people have year long, permanent contracts.
