Just hoping someof you could help out a newbie to Tokyo. I have a date for tomorrow but I don't really know Tokyo well enough to know fun places to go for a first date. Someone suggested to me that Yoyogi park is nice and close to Harajuku. I was wondering what other cool places there are around here. Too many arcades and not enough minigolf! Smile
My preferences are for something on the western side of Tokyo (Ikebukero, Shinjuku, Harajuku ,etc.) Is the Ueno Zoo any good? Or too depressing?

Hoser: If you like West Tokyo, why not take her to Inokashira Park (near Kichijouji station)?

Since it's a university area, there are many cool hangouts nearby

That should be great !

What difference does that make Synne? Is dating a japanese girl significantly different from dating a western girl? (other than the language thing of course)

Anyways the date went quite well Smile
One thing that I'm curious about is where in the heck are the minigolf courses? I love playing minigolf during the "initial dating period" and I'd love to do it here. I did a google search and I couldnt really find any information about good minigolf places in Tokyo. My date said that she had never played minigolf before and didn't know of any places.

(We went bowling instead and she beat me in the first game! Gahhh!)

stillnosheep: Stop trying to sabotage threads - this is the last time I shall reply to you, mainly because I haven't the time to deal with such childish behaviour.

Have a nice life.

cheers
