Is there anyone here who is working in Mexico and has a blog of their experience? If you do, please post the link, it's great to see how people are dealing on a day to day basis and not from a giant rant on a school Cheers! |

What a great idea!
This is one of the best sites I have come across and is very well done. (I hesitated for a moment because I don't want the poor guy inundated as a result of posting this here, especially since he has been back in the USA for a couple of years now. It is for informational purposes in response to the OP's suggestion)
He starts at the beginning as to how he found his job, every day life in Mexico including travels during time off school and once back home, he wraps it up and lets everyone know what he is doing now. I hope this inspires other teachers to do the same as it is very beneficial to those contemplating the move.
Take a look at the reader comments at the bottom of the main page since you may find some of them are quite interesting.

We had a teacher at my old school with a blog about his job and life in Mexico. It got him fired (and he really didn't write bad things about the school). |

Ouch, I really didn't picture Mexico as the kind of place that would care about a blog, especially if it didn't mention bad things about the school. I still love reading other people's musings on their experinces (see Jon's Mexico Blog, Mary in Mexico) and I can't help wanting to still keep one when I'm there... maybe just annonomously and not done during school time Hmmmm... food for thought. |

Right on! I am sure there is more to the firing story than just the Blog. I would have no hesitation writing a Blog and in fact have made webpages in the past to share with my students, posting pictures of them, their achievements, etc. They loved it. |
